Any chance of new firmware for my Sure Signal?

Several weeks ago I raise an issue wrt my sure signal and asked if a firmeware update might fix it. You replied that there was a couple of days lead time on this but that it would be worth trying. Since then, I have heard nothing 😞 Is there any chance I could get this done? Unfortunately, I can't find my original post - I have the e-mail telling me about it, but when I click on the link, it tells me I have insufficient privileges to follow the link.

Hi Klaus_K,

 

You're on the latest firmware.

 

I did notice that a location update hadn't provisioned correctly.

 

I've corrected this and pushed through a resync.

Hi, that sounds vaguely positive - in that at least something is being done. However:

 

  • I did notice that a location update hadn't provisioned correctly. What des this mean and what impact would it have?
  • I've corrected this and pushed through a resync. As above - wil this make anything better?

FInally, on the naive assumption that these fixes ought to make things better, when will I notice the change?

The effects should take place after around 24 hours.

 

To ensure they come in to play, please follow the steps below:

 

  • Find the button on the base of the unit next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around one hour
