Apple has been forced to clean up their new GIF search system after some pornographic images appear in the new IOS 10 messaging function.
iOS 10 was released earlier this week and is the latest software available for iPhones and iPads.
It contains an update to Messages which allows users to search for and send GIFs directly from the app however, this where the problem lies. Users who have searched for words such as “hard’, “bounce” and “huge” and have found themselves presented with pornographic images.
Some of the images are said to show a woman performing a sex act on a man and a very questionable My Little Pony animation. More obvious sexual search terms are blocked but “jiggle” shows a buxom young lady, well jumping up and down – you get the idea!
This is all very embarrassing for Apple who is proud of the fact that their devices do not support any pornographic apps, stating in the App Store guidelines: “Apps containing pornographic material, defined by Webster’s Dictionary as ‘explicit descriptions.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the first handsets to include the new software and are already available in a number of countries around the world bring an end to months of speculation and intrigue.
