Hi, am having problems with apps on my ultra smart 6 which will not stay open longer than a few seconds. Have done the usual uninstall and reinstall but no success. Any suggestions??

Hi,
Which Apps are behaving like this ?
Try closing down open apps to clear up ram.
Try cleating caches.
How much internal storage do you have left ? I ask Because if it's running low the phone can glitch.
Were the apps obtained from the official Google play store.
Try deleting the most recent one to see if it's a rogue app.
A last resort would be to back up and factory reset.

Hi, thanks for this. At the moment any app I try and use automatically closes. Storage is ok, but I'll try removing recent apps and see if this makes a difference

You're welcome.
Try a soft reboot by turning it off and on.
If none of the troubleshooting tips do not help and....
If the last resort of a factory reset does not help then the phone has a 24 month warranty so any Vodafone shop can send it off.
This manufacturing warranty does not cover issues resulting from water damage or a drop.
Take Time / Date stamped pictures of the device to show the condition you sent it back in and one of it turned on.
"Also make sure when sending your device for repair that you keep hold of your SIM. You also shouldn't send your memory cards, battery and/or back cover (if they're removable) - if these are included with your phone when it goes for repair we can't guarantee their return."
Depending on tariff / contract type a Loan phone can be offered if one is in stock.

Random app issues are sometimes resolved by simply clearing recent apps. Tap the square icon next to the home key. Some devices can bulk clear - look for an X or 3-line button - some require it to be donw one-by-one. The behaviour you're experiencing sounds like a resource issue and it's possible one or more apps isn't handing memory back as it should. Keep clearing and try to notice if the problem occurs after you've used a particular oone.
