Why do Vodafone have these bars set to on when by default they should be off, Got a contract for my daughter and she kept saying that she couldnt use her data, I thought she had used the 4gb up but found out that vodafone with the stupid idea of supplying a contract with data but turning it off by default.
What a pain Vodafone are, Got a contract with Three, Put sim in the phone and everything worked straight away, Common sense.
Not surprised Vodafone have got a bad reputation now.

@danielmbrooke There's definitely been an error there somewhere, we wouldn't provide an account with data services switched off as default. Did you or your daughter attempt to apply a cap on the plan to prevent from going over the allowance? I only ask as there's two bars, one to prevent from going over the plan allowance and one to restrict all data usage. I'm wondering if the wrong was has been added by yourselves or one of our advisers by mistake.

It's also worth knowing that you can set and remove bars yourself via you MyVodafone account. The functionality of the app was improved a while back and the capability is now there, so you can manage them wherever you are.
