Broadband Issues

Hello.

Just a couple of questions about my broadband if someone wouldnt mind helping?

I got my broadband coming on a year ago now, and for a good while everything was fine. However about 4 months ago it decided it was no longer going to connect to the '3g' network or even detect it, but instead connect only to the 'GPRS' and even this is so slow it takes a good 10 minutes to open a simple webpage.

now i've tried re-installing all the software on both my computers and a laptop and I've checked the supposed coverage on vodafone's website. (I live in Chichester). This still has not resolved the problems.

Any ideas on what is causing this as it's a bit silly to pay for something that dosen't work correctly?

Hi Adam,

Sorry to hear about the signal issues you are experiencing, I know how frustrating slow internet can be :(

I've had a check on the postcode in your profile and can see that the coverage does not appear to be great for 3G services. I know that this differs from the Vodafone Coverage Checker online as this states you should be getting some level of 3G coverage. I've done a bit of digging and it looks like the original 3G site that served the area was taken down a few months back and replaced with a new site at a different location. It looks like our online coverage viewer has not been updated to reflect this change yet, I have fed this back to our IT teams to get this changed.

I know that this does not fix the problem for you, but hopefully that gives you a clear answer of why the service has dropped off.
