@Ace000069 So you must first find the camera IP address, 1st try accessing the cameras menu & see if it's an option there, 2nd speak to the camera manufacturer / look in the manual for the IP address. As long as it's in one of the reserved ranges then you can setup your router accordingly.

Hi i have the camera ip just cant go into its settings as not online , just wanted to add it but its ip is lower than Vodafone router

So just post the IP address here and someone will give you info on what needs changing

Hi thanks for reply. Screenshot_20180224-163105.png

What is the make and model of the camera?

By what you have said I assume you can't plug it into the router via  an ethernet cable.

The only way to connect it is via wifi. How do you connect it via wifi? Is it WPS?

If you have a laptop with an Ethernet socket and also an Ethernet crossover cable, you might be able to connect your IP camera into your laptop via such a wired Ethernet connection and use that to access its settings via your web browser.  You might need to disconnect your laptop from the internet / WiFi connection while doing this, because I'm assuming that your IP camera has a built-in webserver for its settings menu that can be accessed on its internal IP address.  If you're able to access the camera settings in this way, you might be able to change its internal IP address to a more suitable range on the same subnet as your router.  I hope this helps.

Does anyone know how to add an ip address (from a camera) that is lower than the router ip address as it will not show up wifi scan or on cable?

Thanks in advance

I don't fully understand your question.  What is the IP address of the router and what is the current IP address of the camera?  How do you know the IP address of the camera?

As @machare has commented you need to be more specific,

In principle the IP addresses need to be in the same subnet so 192.168.1.x for example, the router would normally be addressed 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254, you then set the DHCP address pool to 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.253 so if the camera has an fixed IP in that subnet you then add it as a static IP address to the router. If your camera is in a different subnet say 192.168.0.x then you'll need to change all the references in the router to 192.168.0.x & follow the samw steps above, save the config, restart & you should be working.

Did you do your tests from a different network? The device you are using for testing needs to be on another network. Also check that the device you are trying to connect to is actually listening on that port and that you can connect to it locally e.g. from a device on your home broadband network. Another thing to check is that you have allocated it a fixed internal IP address - check that it has its own entry in the DHCP reservation table. I say this because if the modem reboots or updates its firmware and you did not already assign the target device a fixed internal IP address in the DHCP reservation table, it may have been given a different internal IP address from the one that your port forwarding rules were expecting.
