Broadband ordered, confirmation email received and then nothing.

I ordered Fibre Unlimited 38 on Sptember 3rd, due for switch over today 16th September. I got a confirmation email saying I would get a router in 2 days and somebody would contact me.

None of these things happened.

I can't get through to anybody over the phone because I don't have a broadband account number yet and it doesn't recognise my landline number. I have used my WEB order number on the 'Track Your Order' link and it says it's invalid.

To say I am dissapointed is an understatement.

Can anybody help me please?

How did this work out for you?

I placed an order on October 4th, received a confirmation from both BT and Vodafone that I am switching providers, it's supposed to be going live on the 20th but I've yet to receive a new router.

When I try and lookup the order status online I get "Order details you've entered are invalid." everytime. Which makes me wonder if I am going to be sitting here without internet after the 20th.

thanks,

Ron Hines

Did you order on line or do a walk in to the store,

Im guessing the online option has a flaw somewhere..

read my thread on here.

The package is a great offer, but Vodafones support and service are a SEVERE dissapointment, just try getting an email from them.

If Vodafone cannot crack this, then others will jump in, the days of paying line rental are ending,

Well, none of the three routers that were apparently sent to me ever arrived. On the day before connection we finally got the broadband tech team to arrange for us to pick a router up in-store, which we did.

Then, on changeover day, our service didn't activate. Spoke with the broadband tech team and they had to update their records with the serial number of the router we'd collected. Then it all started working.

Since then, we've had frequent disconnections for 10mins and the link is about 20% slower than it was with BT. So not exactly a stellar service by any stretch.

Tomorrow'S the last day of my cooling off period. Giving serious thought to telling Vodafone where to stick it.

I think I am going to call both BT and Vodafone tomorrow and just cancel the order and switch back to BT.

I had all the same intitial issues just placing the order you did with the name being wrong and not being able to correct it myself and now issues with just getting the router delivered.

Really not impressed with vodafone's devs at this point.

In the exact same boat, ordered fibre on sept 30th, got email etc. then nothing!  no router, web order track comes up invalid etc.

Called last week, was told another router would be sent,,,nothing again!

Called again friday, was told yet another router would be sent this time by next day special delivery to ensure i had it saturday with my fibre going live from tomorrow (18th oct)...guess what?...still NOTHING!   Sheer incompetence of the highest order!

I called BT and cancelled the switch from there.

Guys, sorry for the delayed reply on this.
I did a live chat about the problem and the adviser was really helpful. He checked things and explained that the order itself had not gone any further than the automated online ordering procedure. He apologised and advised that I ring the sales team instead if I still wanted to proceed. I wasn't going to bother for obvious reasons but I decided that it was too big a saving over my other options to miss out on. I rang the sales team and ordered 38mbps fibre, the router came next day and my switchover date, instructions etc... On switchover day I simply plugged the router in and went to work, came home and all sorted. To be fair, after a shaky start with the actual ordering error, I've had no problems whatsoever and I'm happy it. I hope you all get your problems sorted out.
