Broadband question

Hi there, not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but if you sign up to the Vodafone broadband deal that doesn't have line rental, do you get to keep your existing phone line contract with your current provider even though it's not Vodafone? So basically if say you have a bt phone/landline could you still have that if you went for Vodafone broadband? When I used the broadband checker it said I could keep the same home number so I presume it would still work and that acquiring Vodafone broadband wouldn't have any effect on it. Any information on this would be great, thanks :Smiling:

Hi,

As I understand this > Vodafone switch you from your existing provider to them when you sign up. The exception is Virgin where you'll need to fill in a form. You'll need to advise them you want to keep your current number.

Some info in this link > blog.vodafone.co.ukhuge-news-vodafone-ditches-line-rental-charges. and in vodafone.co.uk/broadband/deals

T&C Link.

For official clarification may I suggest.

@Mucker756 In most cases you will be able to keep your old number. If a new one is required you will be told when ordering though.

The only effect you would notice after acquiring Vodafone broadband is you'll be paying your bills to Vodafone instead of BT.

Hi, cheers for the help :Smiling: I looked at the information you provided. Seems like Vodafone gives you a line rental but does not charge extra for it. That's pretty good :Smiling: final question though how much would it cost to make phone calls then as it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. Say I rang my neighbour how much would it cost per minute or is that included in the fee that you're paying each month for the broadband, meaning there's no extra charge for making phone calls? Thanks again for your help, much appreciated :Smiling:

@Mucker756 There's an £8 a month add on for unlimited anytime calls, alternatively it's £4 for evening and weekend calls.
