From April 2017 Vodafone removed all charges for roaming in most of Europe, including Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man.
Does it not seem a bit strange that we get charged extortionately for calling countries that I could visit and use my data plan in? Its currently 55p a minute to call the Isle of Man while in the UK when it would cost me 0p to call the UK from the Isle of Man.

Hello @swignall you are correct calls made to EU (none UK) numbers are only inclusive when roaming abroad and are still chargeable at international rates when in the UK.
Here is a link containing more information on Vodafone international calling and the international extras available (PAYM only):

Hey,
The reason for this is that intra-EU roaming has been regulated for some time now with the prices (when it was chargable) regulated whereas international calls aren't.
As for your point about the IoM, they've always been a strange one when it comes to calling. Most providers don't offer any kind of deal for calling there and in theory, they didn't actually need to be included in these new roaming rules (as the IoM is not a part of the UK or the EU) so it's probably a case of being thankful for the fact that you can roam there for free now.
Same with the Channel Islands really, free roaming applies there now also thankfully!
