Conditional Call Forwarding - Hullomail

Related to Pay Monthly Voicemail service.

 

I've seena few posts in various forums but none of them fix the issue I have.

 

Apple iPhone 6S+, new voda contract, number ported across 7 days ago from EE.  Standard Voda VM working fine.

 

Downloaded Hullomail to utilise visual voicemail but had erros activating the service.  Raised a ticket on them, they investigated and reported that this is an issue with Conditional Call Forwarding with the network.

 

I found posts that suggested various **61*xxxx type codes but they report the exact same failure error that I recieve when using the app to activate.

 

Bizarrely I have an iPhone 5C for work on Voda and the app activated first time.

 

Anyone had errors or problems and know how to fix?  Cannot find any option on phone lines to speak to someone about it either!

Just spoke with 2nd level, they are aware of the issue and it's under investigation, guess we just wait and see! Forgot to ask them about the IMEI and ICCID.

They said it's something to do with the way Vodafone handles 4g on the iPhone 6s(+).

OK, I now do the codes, and it comes up as succeeded!!  :Smiling:

 

But my calls still divert to vodafone voicemail, not HulloMail! :Sad_face:

So I recieved a Carrier Settings update on Sunday morning which I accepted.  I thought Hurrah!  A fix!

 

And I was pleasantly surprised!  The default Activate Hullomail number in the phone book (added by the app) worked perfectly.

 

Have you tried activating by the app not the codes?

Yeah, I have used the activate HulloMail phone book entry, and it says succeeded, but it still forwards to my Vodafone voicemail, not HulloMail?

Should I try reinstalling the app again?

I didn't deactivate my Voda VM no.  Just activated the Hullomail VM box.

 

Maybe worth deleting the app and all it's bits, reboot the phone so you drop the network connection and restart, the reinstall the app, log in and try again.

 

It's possible it'll change nothing but got to be worth a try...

Deactivated my vodafone voicemail and now I forward to HulloMail!!

 

I didn't expect this to be fixed so quickly!  Nice one Vodafone!!

Hi folks.  Seems I'm having exactly the same issue.  I don't think Hullomail has been working for me since mid-January, but I only just noticed.

 

What was the eventual fix for everyone?  Was it something Vodafone engineering had to fix on a case-by-case basis?

@peter_333 - Vodafone wouldn't get directly involved in any third party apps. Have a read through the forum, as there are different methods that people have used.
