Connection Trouble - Chester

Aikendrum
Not applicable
Hello, i've finally managed to get online for the first time in almost 2days & Only by using a low signal GPRS option, instead of the usual 3g.

Is there a known issue in the Chester area or as something wrong my end maybe ?

Any suggestions would be most useful as i've searched around in the forums before posting but didn't see anything useful.

Area post code is Ch2 3HR if that's of any use.

Regards

ps, error code i receive when trying to connect is usuallyl 680, but that sometimes changes.

Hi Aiken and welcome aboard the eforum!

Always nice to see a new face :)

A Network engineer colleague of mine has reliably informed me this evening, that we have notification of some planned work in the vicinity of the site 111 which services your postcode. The landlord of the premises of which the site sits on, is carrying out some work and so the site has had to be shut off for the landlords safety.

We dont forsee the work lasting much longer and so your connection issues should become less and less over the next day or so. In the meantime then I would expect you to still have GPRS connection, albeit the slower connection. Please bear with it for another day or so.

Look forward to seeing you around the forum again soon.
