Content Control - A Few Points

To any1 having trouble with vodafones content control or unhappy with it should immediatly contact a legal advisor this is because you are currently paying full price for half a service where as others are paying full price for a full service this breaches both british and european discrimination and trading laws it can also be argued that it also discriminates against those who excersise there legal right to not to pay £50 for a driving license or £90 for a passport especially as age verifing id is NOT a legal requirement because of this vodafones decision to put content control on all accounts are unsound from a legal perpesctive

Hi there danny151,

I'm afraid I can't agree. Content Control can be removed in an instant if you're over 18. Why not have a peek at our Content Control thread? The idea behind it is to wall off adult related web content for minors - it's something our customers with children have praised us for, and allows them peace of mind. This is of course legal, and something you even agree to when signing up for the service - and if you don't like it, you can just get it removed - it doesn't cost you a penny :)

I personally think it's an excellent feature, and am still unsure why you're so against it. Please let us know if you're having issues removing it, and we'll sort it out for you!

It's only a little bit annoying, mine is a PAYG, just registered it, took my details into local Vodafone shop and it was removed, no credit or debit card details required, all this within a few hours of getting it, there really is not that much fuss involved.

Hi danny151,

Thanks for expanding. If you've been turned away by our store staff, they will have had their reasons. Whilst I can't comment on the situation, we will need to check your account details and/or contact you to do this (I'll be sending an email to you shortly). Please note that we cannot remove Content Control if you are indeed under 18 years of age.

Hope to hear back from you soon,
