Hi, i upgraded my phone tuesday evening and was told my phone would be delivered Thursday.
I work all weekdays so thought I'd be able to select the pick up from dpd service but it won't let me select this.
i'm just worried they are going to try and deliver again tomorrow and the same thing will happen.
thanks,
Elaine

Hi,
The phone needs to be delivered to your address.
Another option when first setting up the order is to choose 'Click and Collect ' which means the phone is delivered to the Vodafone Highstreet Store of choice and the person collects.
You could try calling the DpD Depot and ask what your options are.

I upgraded over the phone and when I asked if I could collect in store he said they don't do this anymore because of fraud reasons :smileysad:
Seems a bit bizarre though when you can have it delivered to a neighbour but you can't collect it from one of their stores.

Does seem a bit bizarre - the website still shows it as an option?

Maybe its strictly for online orders only, could be that over the phone staff dont have the same option. 😞

Hi @Elaine891
It does mention ordering online when in connection to Click and Collect.

Not sure about the fraud explanation.

Thats really strange, he deffinitley said I couldn't collect in store because of fraud reasons, I even said it would be easier for me to collect in store as there is a store near where I work?
Maybe it is only online orders that can do this- what a pain! haha guess i'm going to have to pay more for a saturday delivery or something, what a faff!

When I'm discussing upgrading or joining the network I always suggest doing this process in a Vodafone Highstreet Store especially if having to wait in for a delivery could pose an issue.
Also less chance of a handset delay, walk away typically with the phone of choice and contract in hard copy.
I appreciate its not always convenient to visit a store or one is not local.
Regarding fraud - There's possibilities in both methods of having the phone supplied.

Seems very sensible advice given the pros listed. 🙂

Whilst I agree its easier to upgrade in store, unfortunatley the best deals can only be had when you call up, I've got myself a massive saving from doing so! they can't provide the same deals instore. Saved myself over £240.
