Hi,
I've had a working (well, as much as they ever work) VSS3 for a few months. Last week, I started getting various outages. Over the weekend (I've been away), i noticed the box had died - only a steady power light. Running a network monitor shows the box isn't even trying to DHCP for an address, so I think it's actually dead. I've tried umpteen resets and no other lights will come on.
Interestingly, logged into my account today and the SureSignal isn't registered on my account any more.
VSS serial number : 40124107596
How do I go about getting this replaced?

Hi ikl,
That serial number is showing as deregistered since the beginning of July, please can you register this on your online account and let me know if the issue continues?
James

James,
OK I've reregistered it and it's plugged in doing nothing at the moment. I'll see what happens over the next day or so.
Any idea how it got deregistered? I didn't do it!

After 3 days of random light sequences, removing phones from the account and adding them back, I think it's finally started working again. Thanks for your help, but this remains one of the most unreliable and obtuse pieces of kit I've ever used.

... and we're back to red flashing lights.
I'm getting intermittent drop outs now, with the light sequence indicating a failure to authenticate on your network. Power cycling sometimes brings it back, but not always.
Can you see if your end records the reason for disconnection?
Given the number of posts recently showing people having the same problem, is there any chance of Vodafone looking into this in a more systematic manner?

Hi James,
well, it's not been working at all for the last couple of days - just the 'in use' light on orange, power light flashing.
VSS is getting assigned an address by the DHCP server (fixed address) and I've manually added the port forwarding now. Makes no difference.

I reckon part of your IPSec pool has fallen over, which is why only certain people are seeing the problem. Any chance of someone having a look?
