Hey please can someone help! I had a default registered against me in 2014 after cancelling my contract after 2 years with 31 days notice and being charged for usage I never had for nearly a whole year paying very high phone bills, I was told I don’t owe Vodafone anything and that my account will be closed after 31 days, so that was the end of my contract with Vodafone, until 2 years later I receive a letter saying Vodafone have registered a default against me and that I owe them £66, I called to which I was told this would be sorted as it was their mistake, haven’t checked my credit since then as I haven’t needed to use it, recently I have applied for a mortgage and to my surprise my default is still on my credit file, I have spent the last 2 weeks calling Vodafone being gay passed from person to person, finally spoke to someone who tried to help me today and was advised that the credit team were going to send me an email stating the Vodafone take responsibility for this mistake So I can give it to my mortgage lender, I was told this would take half an hour, 2 hours later still no email.. I’m quite a patient person usually, however we are going to loose our house if this doesn’t get sorted, getting so annoyed chasing Vodafone for this after 5 years the service is still so poor and this is all over £66 in which all my bills for 2 years were mostly more than this from being over charged, I have never not paid a bill in my life, it’s so much hassle and I can’t sleep with worry about not being able to get a house because of this.
