Definitely NOT a good start...

Currently on TalkTalk and contract will expiry next nonth, I got the home broadband from Vodafone, Olivia (on chat) was very helpful and assured me that I will "keep the same number".

Today I received a letter from Vodafone that says that a new number will be assigned on my connection, I had some chats with the broadband specialists, one of them wrote me that TT refused to transfer the number, not true as I contacted the TT and they told me that there is a notice to Vodafone that "the number was released to your new provider", but later on another chat from Vodafone "our premise check tells us unfortunately porting this number will not be possible with our service"

Could someone from Vodafone let me know what is going on? TT released you my current landline number to you but you refuse and will assign a different landline number? Something is fishy here.

thx

If this was my situation I'd keep on with customer service Easy enough for me to say I understand.
