Delivery date

So the release date is the 11th of March but if you pre-order Samsung says you can benefit by having it 3 days early. Will vodafone honour that? I've pre-ordered mine but the sales guys have no idea when the phones will start to get dispatched.

Tell them to stick it. That's what I'm about to do when they call back and tell me the phone won't be delivered today as promised.

I'm going into the store later this afternoon. If it's the same story I'll be going elsewhere and making sure everyone know how appalling this "company" is.

The adviser even told me they hadn't had the s7.

This is my concern how exactly?

I pre-ordered my S7 Edge on the 25th Feb. Waited until 8th for delivery which it says according to the terms and conditions. Still no phone. It is 11th now and I phone up customer service who put me through to like 10 different people and tell me that my order has been cancelled!!! They can not say why the order has been cancelled and why no one informed me of this.

This is a terrible service. Vodafone are conning everyone, what a horrible network.

I had to now re-order my S7 Edge and have been told the phone is currently out of stock and i will have to wait for delivery once the phone is back in stock which they can not say would be.

Absolutely shocked at this service.

Someone at Vodafone needs to take responsibility for this mess. I suggest as many of us as possible contact BBC Watchdog to see if they will pick up on it.

Obviously no-one in charge reads these forums, that's for sure.

I sympathise for the people in this thread who are having issues with receiving their handsets in time. I understand how frustrated you may be feeling after being promised one thing, and not fulfilling it.

However, I feel as though Vodafone, in general, are doing quite well as long as the rollout is concerned. Everybody I know who pre-ordered in Feb have received both the S7 / S7 Edge with the VR without a hitch on the 8th of March. For myself, I pre-ordered on Monday 7th of March, and mine is on the way to me today. Yes I was told that I may also be getting it on the 8th, but after a phonecall, I was told that I had just missed the cut off date and you are in line to receive the phone in the next batch of deliveries (11th). And for me, they were true to their word. In fact every department I spoke with, this includes the live chat, were incredibly efficient and thorough in answering my questions.

So in summary, for me Vodafone is a great company that is true to their word. For others, maybe there is an error or somebody made a mistake. With such a huge company, I would expect mistakes and whoever is on the end of these mistakes are extremely unfortunate.

These forums only show bias towards the complaints which makes the company look like a group of cowboys. So here goes some positive feedback from a customer who has always been treated well by Vodafone.

I sincerely hope that the people having issues are dealt with swiftly and the problems are resolved as soon as possible.

@dadon123 Thanks for posting the other side of the story.

By their very natures being Help boards people will generally only visit when they have a problem which as you indicate gives a swayed view of the Vodafone operation overall.

Vodafone just tried to deliver a second gold S7 Edge to me. No wonder they're running low on stock.

@dadon

I ordered on the 29th Feb.

"Should get an email by 16th or 17th March"

It's appalling

@markroberts99 When Vodafone advertised the offer it was delivery by the 8th subject to availability.

It would have been impossible for either Samsung or Vodafone to make an exact guess as to what the demand would be and now Vodafone, O2 and also networks in Asia have found that their initial stock has gone and they are waiting for new stock to fulfill the orders.

Annoying ? Yes, but these sort of things happens on all major launches.

@kids

Obviously logistically it's difficult to predict demand.

But it's the misinformation. Vodafone were still advertising the "pre order" deal over the weekend. If they can't fulfill a order received on the 29th until the 16th or 17th March it's terrible they are still advertising it.

I've been told I'd have the phone on 11th, 12th and I should receive an email on the 16th or 17th March.

I've also been told it was delivered on the 29th Feb.

On top of all this you take a look at this thread, take a look at phones being sent in unsealed boxes.

Take a look at Vodafone Twitter feed.

It's a terrible way to treat customers. Is it any wonder I'm appalled by my first impression of them?

Others may have had no problems. But sadly they've probably lost a customer in me
