Hi,

So Vodafone how can you explain this?

I moved house 4 years ago and updated my address accordingly then and have since had an upgrade delivered to my current address!
I was so excited to preorder my iPhone 7 last Friday and had to also do that twice as the first time the girl had not processed correctly !
I then received a text confirming my delivery yet to an address from 4 years ago... even tho when upgrading over the phone I was given delivery info for my current address!
I called on Saturday and confirmed my adddress to my current one and told they could not see my old address on my account so must be a system error as naturally the upgrade team were so busy!
Not convinced after not receiving a text to confirm as promised by customer services team - I called back on Sunday to double check address and was reassured!
I received my email from Vodafone tonight discussing delivery of my handset tomorrow and guess where it's going... my address from 4 years ago! Customers services team say that it is not - it is going to my new address.
Convinced ? No
So I call DPD and speak to an amazing guy on the phone who does everything he can to attempt to change delivery info however only the retailer can edit this due to fraud legislation.
So I call up Vodafone this evening ... TWICE. And no one can call DPD or send an emergency email to adjust my address despite it being your system error....
so now I won't receive my phone tomorrow. God knows who will.
I have been told a redirection form has been sent twice and "hopefully" I will receive the phone this weekend.
I am off work tomorrow to receive my handset but working all weekend so now I have to arrange for a family member to stay in my property to sign for it.

No attempt was made by anyone to go out of their way to help this evening by Vodafone.

I'd love an explanation....

And what do I do if someone happens to sign for my phone who isn't me.???

Sarah

Hello @Sarahhastings25

I can certainly see why you would be frustrated at the address issue.

With the iphone hone being in limited supply a person would want to ensure it goes to their current address.

I have seen a couple of threads in relation to the older address being used instead of the current one and it seems to be an issue for Vodafone.

If the iPhone was delivered to the old address and the person signed for it instead of rejecting the parcel then Vodafone would instigate an investigation with the courier most probably to obtain a copy of the signature, and statement from the courier driver.

That iPhone would be imei locked to prevent unauthorised use.

Imo this shouldn't greatly delay in you then receiving a phone as soon as it's been confirmed what's happened.

Obviously this would cause some delay to you as they'd have to re despatch one stock levels permitting.
