I can certainly see why you would be frustrated at the address issue.
With the iphone hone being in limited supply a person would want to ensure it goes to their current address.
I have seen a couple of threads in relation to the older address being used instead of the current one and it seems to be an issue for Vodafone.
If the iPhone was delivered to the old address and the person signed for it instead of rejecting the parcel then Vodafone would instigate an investigation with the courier most probably to obtain a copy of the signature, and statement from the courier driver.
That iPhone would be imei locked to prevent unauthorised use.
Imo this shouldn't greatly delay in you then receiving a phone as soon as it's been confirmed what's happened.
Obviously this would cause some delay to you as they'd have to re despatch one stock levels permitting.
