EU roaming download throttling

Currently in Mallorca. Dowload speeds as slow as 0.5 mb. This is far slower than previous trips. Anyone else finding slow speeds? I highly suspect throttling is going on, same as O2 admitted to recently.

It could be the Network your latched to which is having some signal / Mast issues. 

Can you manually choose another Network or soft reboot your phone by turning it Off and On. 

What happens if you toggle between 3G and 4G for example ?

Unfortunately the Vodafone Uk Network can guarantee connection quality while a person is roaming on a foreign network. 

A member talks about throttling here and the thought that Vodafone do not.

Hi @Sjruss with the statements from Vodafone saying they don't throttle and the admission that O2 have been it would be extremely embarrassing and fool hardy if Vodafone were found to be doing it.

Speeds are slightly better today. Uploads are much faster. Maybe it's due to peak holiday season and sheer volume of people using it.

I think Vodafone UK is struggling to cope with all the data being used abroad at the moment. I notice significant speed drops in the evening (sometimes only 2-3mbits) everywhere I travel. I have so far experienced this issue in Bulgaria, in Italy and in Switzerland (on 4g). And this problem is specific only to Vodafone UK, since local SIMS in these countries do not suffer from these problems.
