Hi Darren,

I can imagine how frustrating this must be! Don’t worry though, I’m positive we’ll get this sorted for you quickly! :D

So that we can determine what the problem is, please can you get back to us with the following information:

- How long have you been experiencing this problem?
- Have you been able use this before without any problems?
- Is it only affecting particular email addresses (i.e. hotmail, gmail etc) or all?
- What happens when you try to send an email? Do you get an error message? If so, please paste the exact message here.

If there is anything else you think may help then please post this too.

I look forward to hearing from you. :)

All the best,

Jenny

Vodafone have an email gateway send.vodafone.net which you could use but although email might be
accepted for delivery the emails may be subsequently returned as non deliverable or hit a black hole.

Check again with your hosting company to see if they provide an authenticated email service
on a port other than normal smtp port 25, or webmail. From their response I'd gues they don't.

Only other methods are a third party webmail service which will work ok but for me a pain to use
or sending email direct which will hit same problem as via send.vodafone.net.

Hi Jenny

Only used it for first time this week.
it is affecting my work email address and personal one both with use outlook express
when i sent using smtp.ntlworld.com after a while would get a unable to send error and when i changed my outgoing smtp to send.vodafone.net it just keeps saying unable to find smtp server.

Hope this makes sense

Darren

Hi Darren,

Can you give the workaround here a go for me? This will use Google's SMTP, which will circumvent the problems we're currently having with send.vodafone.net, and also gets around your other email issue.

If this still isn't working, then I think we may need to approach this from another angle.
