Hi,
I'm concerned about security for my online billing account access, and have seen from other people on this forum that they have two-factor authentication enabled (i.e. I first login using my username/password but then have to enter a one-time code that is texted to my device).
I was wondering if anybody knew how to enable this feature -- I've searched throughout the settings and can't find anything at all, and both live chat & customer support on the phones and the people I've talked to haven't had a clue what 2FA is, never mind how to enable it! Has anybody else had any success with this?
Thanks

If you go to your My Vodafone account you can add a mobile number and you will then receive a text to that number after completing the log in fields.
The one disadvantage of this is that if you have a problem with your phone and are unable to receive texts for whatever reason you will not be able to log into your account.
But the advantages of 2FA out weighs the disadvantaged

Thanks for the reply. I can't find where to add that on my account... although it already seems to know what my number is.
And yes, you're right -- the added peace of mind definitely outweighs the slight inconvenience.
I've contacted Vodafone about four times (both via calls and online chat) and every time (after waiting about half an hour to an hour in total) they promise that it's now activated, and within 24 hours I will be able to use 2FA. Of course, that's not actually happened yet... very frustrating experience!!

@swal That is strange as once the number is there the texts should be sent by default.
There were many posts a month or so ago complaing about the 2FA as people had not asked for it so it appeared it was a default setting.
Stick around and one of the Vodafone Tech Tem will see your post and be able to contact you through this board and advise you how to activate it.
