Galaxy s6 edge screen auto brightness issue

I have a problem with the display auto brightness - the screen stays dim even in bright light so it is impossible to see what is displayed.

If I turn off auto brightness then it seems to be ok.

Hi,

 

I have this too occasionally with my iPhone.

 

I prefer to turn this off as a Battery Saving tip. 

 

Some try troubleshooting by turning up the brightness to full and turn auto on and off to try and calibrate the settings. 

 

Sometimes turning the phone Off and On to soft ReBoot it can help.  

 

There are a few sites discussing this along with some end users on forums highlighting the same.
