Hi
I have had a HTC One X for the past month, however this problem has been gradually getting worse.
Mainly in work but its also happened other places i can have a great signal and be on HSDPA or 3G, then i will move to somewhere such as the kitchen area in work and the signal will drop out. I will then return to my desk and put the phone in the exact place it was getting full signal and data connection but the Signal will not come back. I will get the No Signal message.
I have tried leaving the phone for over 30 mins but the signal doesnt come back and also looking for the network manually but it doesnt find it.
However, if i restart the phone the full signal and HSDPA/3G connection will come back.
Is this a fault with the phone or a strange network issue?

Hi guys,
Thanks for confirming your firmware versions - including JustPassing who has been able to confirm that 1.29.401.11 is not specifically affected. I've passed all this, as well as the tape comments - to James to update the investigation.
I do notice that the five of you who have provided your firmware numbers - nickkr, stevepf, winders, Craighorsbury1 and Ash_F - haven't provided the details James requested previously here. Just so the technicians can tie all the information together, can I get you to post this as well? This just avoids us having half the information from some users and half from others.

My phone is running software version 1.29.401.11 and has the problem. I think the point being made about this version of the software by justpassing was that as someone else had reported having the problem with that version and justpassing didn't experience it, that it must be a hardware problem rather than a software one. I'd also like to advise that I am not on the Vodaphone network so I don't believe its a network problem. The advice I had from HTC was to change the phone setting from WCDMA preferred to GSM auto PRL. This has helped in that the problem doesn't occur as often but it still does happen. My husband has a Samsung Galaxy S3 on the same network and tariff and I compared his signal to mine today. His dropped and regained automatically no problem whereas mine stayed out for hours until I toggled airplane mode. Very annoying as otherwise a great phone.
