How do I remove Vodafone app installed, without permission, on privately purchased phone?

Vodafone app automatically installed without my permission when vodafone SIM inserted in privately purchased Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo. Obviously treated as a system app as it does not have delete option.

Not willing to invalidate warranty by rooting. How do I get vodafone to remove it?

Regards

If it's the SIM menu, it should reside there and not occupy any space in your device.  It should also only appear in the app drawer and you don't need to put it on a homescreen unless you want to use it.   I'm not even convinced that it appears in the list of installed apps.   It's a legacy thing and contains very little that's useful (or can't be repllicated better elsewhere).   It offers a lot of services (eg horoscpes) which are chargeable and difficult to unsubscribe from).   Basically, forget it and leave it alone.

It's baked into the sim card. As far as I know you vantage "jide" apps on saumsung phones either. It's useful to set up APNS & get contact numbers if you need them, you just can't get rid

Impulsive 1 - Baked in to SIM would appear to be correct. Replaced Vodafone SIM and "Vodafone" app no longer appears [in Applications  view or Application Manager]. There are, however, two entries in Application Manager labelled "SIM Toolkit" with same icon as the "Vodafone" app, but both showing as 0.00B.
