Not sure this is in the right place... Yesterday I spent over two hours on Vodafone chat trying to add a line for my daughter and buy her a phone. Right now I've got two phones and two lines - according to the customer service people these are the bundles I've got:
1GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited text in £43.50 and its a CTR 10
and
500 minutes 500 MB data and unlimited text in £17 and its CTR 11 contract
I think there's some European/Global phone usage plan at a fiver a day when not in the UK included in the first plan, but I'm not aware that I'm getting anything else. Both plans can be changed/upgraded/ditched - after yesterday's chat session I actually felt like ditching all of Vodafone... - anyhow, I want a "family plan", I want to control and/or cap my daughter's usage of data, and I don't want her to have the ability to rack up the bill by phoning non-free numbers. Isn't there a suitable package deal provided by Vodafone for families at a cost less than we're paying now?
Hope someone can help out.... Vodafone Customer Service can't add a new line and sell me a phone for my daughter... Vodafone New Customer Service can't see my existing account - I just ended up going round-and-round for over two hours...

If you would like a data allowance to share between numbers, Red+ may suit your needs, this will enable you to set a data limit for your Daughters monthly use. If she reaches her limit, she will be unable to use any further data during the billing month. If you would like information on the tariff, please see below.
I doubt that Vodafone will be able to restrict your Daughter from calling certain numbers at network level. You can set bars through the online account for all premium rate service, including charge to account and bar international calls. If your Daughter exceeds her call allowance, you can also bar all outgoing calls direct from the online account.
If Red+ is not what you are looking for, there is a bar to stop all further data access for the billing period. You will also be able to manage your Daughters call usage direct from the online account.
The best way to get good advise is by visiting a Vodafone Store, the staff will be able to advise the best plan to suit your needs.

Thank you for trying to help. I visited a Vodafone store... it was a one hour wait to get to see a consultant, who told me to go online at home (see above saga)... You've provided a link to Red +, the phone tag isn't working.... the drop down menu, "chose a manufacturer" opens - and gives no options. Dead end.
