Https Websites

Hi

I have a Vodafone Mobile Connect E870 ExpressCard and have it working on a Windows Vista Laptop. The Connection is fine and I can browse certain websites without any problems. However I am unable to browse any https websites. Is this normal? I used to have a three Mobile broadband and could happily browse https websites but moved over to Vodafone for the network coverage. Can anybody help with this?

Thanks in Advance.

Hello Ameet

Welcome to the eForum, :)

Well the express card certainly seems to be working fine apart from the secure HTTP access/sites. I've not heard this as a wide spread issue however there may be an 'experimental' workaround we can try as follows:

We could attempt to disable optimisation in case this is causing the problem, this is only possible in version VMC 9.2 and older, as such this may involve the rather cumbersome process of uninstalling your current version and setting the new one up, once done you'll need to go into your control panel,
- Then Add/remove programs,
- select VMC and 'Modify',
- Then select optimisation and follow the prompts to disable it.

Once done reboot twice and test the HTTPS sites again, be sure to keep me posted :)

Thanks
