Hello
I picked up a Vodafone data-only SIM in store at the weekend to try it out here and see how it performs, bearing in mind we're on the edge of the network. It's loaded with £15 (2GB I think).
It's being used in an Huawei B593 modem/router. When the SIM card is inserted the router is getting the APN information (apn=internet, user=web) automatically, detecting the (4G) network, and trying to connect. All looks good.
It then fails with:
"Connection failed with error code 283"
I am not sure whether error 283 pertains to the service or the modem. Seems to happen at the authentication stage. The modem then cycles for another reconnection attempt.
Can anyone venture what error code 283 might be?
