IPad and the huawei E5830

Hi guys

I have bought a IPad (without 3g as £100 more) but bought a 3 network Huawei E5830 which is a wifi dongle for £40. As I already have a vodafone dongle I unlocked the Huawei however for it to use the vodafone sim card I need to set up vodafone's connections settings.

Ive looked up on the internet but seem to be reading conflicting things and I rang 191 but they said to post on here!!!

So the info i needis shown in the screenshot below



Any advice would be great

Unfortunately it looks like your screenshot didn't post - but I'm guessing you just need our APN settings, which are included below

APN: internet
Password: web
Username: web

Those are the settings for contract. If you're on Pay-as-you-Go, then the settings will be as follows:

For a 1GB non-expiring plan:

APN: pp.internet
Username: web
Password: web

For a 3GB 30-day expiring plan:

APN: ppbundle.internet
Username: web
Password: web

Cheers..I also need the dial code..atm for 3 its got *99#. if i put that code and the details for my contract which is contract 3gb it doesnt connect..

The dial up number is the same for Vodafone *99#

It may help if you can post all the fields you are completing, along with what you are populating in them. I will then be able to spot if anything is incorrectly entered.

Its working now...finally sussed how to get into the main web management board and change the settings..The details you gave me worked
