In limbo between 9900 and Q10 upgrade and no BIS!

I've lost BIS / BB Services because I've just upgraded via a new contract which has kicked in too early. Because the Q10 doesn't use BIS, I don't have access to BB services for the next few days, until my Q10 handset arrives. The upgrade was arranged over the phone (the VF Upgrade advisor called me yesterday, but I was intending to upgrade online early next week anyway - the call saved me the trouble!). I wasn't expecting the new contract to kick in immediately, particularly as they knew the Q10 handset wasn't going to arrive till Monday. The advisor, while very helpful, clearly didn't understand what BIS is. Yesterday evening I called VF CS and explained my predicament and the lady arranged to have BIS to be added (for free) to my account to tide me over until I start using the Q10 next week. Unfortunately, though, it hasn't yet arrived on my handset. Quite annoying! This is surely a learning point for VF CS U/G staff: they need to be trained about BIS and the fact that pre-OS10 devices need it, but OS10 devices don't.

Wow - this was 5 months ago - ancient history! Everything's fine now. But my son had exactly the same problem when he upgraded from an old Curve device to the Q10. Your upgrade person simply didn't understand the issue, I'm afraid.
