Email Setup

Hi there,

 

I am not receiving any emails on my Blackberry Bold 9900. I have tried sending some test messages from both the email accounts I have setup on the device, but they will not send. I have tried registering the device, through the hosting table, but there is no message received. I have also tried calling you on 191, but I just get a single ring and thn nothing. I have also tired going into the email setup on the phone, but it does not get any further than "Checking for Updates". I have also tried going into the vodafone BIS website, but I cannot remember my user name. 

 

Any ideas on how to get round this one???

There's a couple of other checks you could do if you select 'BlackBerry' from the online troubleshooter, here.

 

If that still doesn't work then Vodafone might need to check provisioning on your online account - at the end of the troubleshooter select the contact option where you'll be able to speak to an advisor over web chat.

I contacted vodafone last night. I was told that my account was no longer setup for Blackberry. I was told that I would be put on a new tarrif and data plan from 12am. I have just tried to setup email on my account, but my phone asks me for an enterprise activation, which does not seem to work. I have also tried to setup my email through the vodafone BIS website, but it tells me that i need to setup email accounts on my phone. Can you please allow me to setup email accounts through the BIS website??

 

On another note, my phone seems to be showing a connection on gprs, ie lowercase. It was at least GPRS, or EDGE before. Can you please look into this?
