When you take a new contract now your are told or should be about retail price index that allows company's to raise prices each year in line with inflation but I'm pretty sure it's not Vodafone that sets the r.p.i they just apply it
I think it was brought in to protect customers from some company's applying higher than inflation price hikes
But I was told about r.p.i when I upgraded in Feb and also in the confirmation text but the r.p.i laws allows them to raise the price mid contract in line with inflation
