Inserting sim card & applying vodafone settings wiped/replaced my homescreens!

Hi,

 

So I got a replacement HTC One last week and have been using it on wifi only while I restore all my apps and homescreens the way the used to (HTC backup & restore kept failing). After setting up 6 home screens of app shortcuts/folders widgets, I was then ready to insert my sim back into the phone.

 

On doing so it received an SMS and I got a notification about new internet etc settings received click OK to apply, which I stupidly did. That ended up wiping all my homescreens, and adding one on screen with a vodafone widget!

 

Is this normal/expected? I don't want to do the restore again as it's taken a while to login to all my apps/services and configure things the way I want.

 

Very frustrating if it is expected behaviour, I'm hoping it's a bug that can be looked at.

I have had that happen, yes.  For all kinds of reasons, I now take screenshots of my homescreens so that I can set them up again quickly if I have to do a reset or anything like that.  I know that's not much help after the event, though. :smileysad:
