Trying to set up my new Iphone6+ to sync with my Outlook account. Type in the email address then the password. Phone tries to verify account but comes up with message saying "Unable to verify account information". Tried changing the password in outlook, but still fails to verify. Any ideas?

Just to clarify, only using the outlook option.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the pointers. However it still hasn't worked. This is what I've done so far:
1. Deleted the account, then re-added it via Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calanders>Add Account>Outlook.com quick link>then entered my details as per what I use on the computer. Once you hit "Nex" after entering your details you get the error message "Unable to verify account information".
2. Deleted the account, then back into ettings>Mail, Contacts, Calanders>Add Account>Other>Add Mail Account. I enter my details click "Next". in the new account page I enter the details as found on the Apple website "Mail Settings Lookup". The click "Next" I get the error message "Cannot Get Mail - The username or password for imap-mail.outlook.com is incorrect".
3. In the advanced settings page the server port for incomming mail port is list as 145 not 993. Also the "Use SSL" is turned off, I changed this and the click "Done" the phone tries to verify this (takes about a minute or two) and the account is verified. I also turned off the two stage authentication.
It seems to be working so far.
