Iphone 5c charger problems

Hello, thanks for taking the time to read my post. My issue is my phones dead, I haven't got any other form of contact for vodafone until there online forum is up and running again and my charger won't work, this is now the second charger i've had in under a week and it just keeps telling me that the wire is incompatiable with the phone and it may not be reliable (both were proper iphone chargers) just wandered if anyone else had this problem and what was done about it? Also wether theres an easy fix of course thanks again.

Are you sure the battery is dead ?

Perhaps try this which may awaken the iPhone.

On the iPhone hold down the Sleep/Wake Button and Home button together until the Apple Logo shows. Then On seeing this Apple Logo release both buttons ,and the iPhone will reset , which has been known to clear most glitches.

Check in the phones charging port that no dust or lint is in there.

Look at the lightening cable to make sure no lint has embedded in their too. Using a toothpick VERY CAREFULLY will remove any build up.

As a process of elimination can you try the charger with another compatible iPhone.

Try hooking up to a computer with the cable and if it fires up / starts charging perform a back up to iTunes and or iCloud and restore the phone.

If you have an  store local book in via a https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/ appointment for those guys to look over the iPhone and cable and plug.
