Hello all,
I would like to have your help. I bought an Iphone 6 plus from a person who upgrated on Vodafone network. He sold me it. Now the phone appears blacklisted. I just reported it to the police fraud services.
I have his details etc, would you be able to do someting from your side?
Thanks in advance

This is going to be betweeen you and the seller.
You have been sold a blacklisted phone and the seller has taken your money.
If the phone is blacklisted only the person who requested the IMEI block can have it removed.

Hello Ann,
He doesn't reply to my calls!
He is commiting a fraud, anything you can do as the Iphone is not lost or stolen, I have it! So basically I have all his details and the proof that I have paid the Iphone.
What can be done to remove it from this list?
Thanks

Vodafone won't be able to help you here Louis or give you any information. As mentioned, this is between you and the person who sold you a blacklisted phone. Its a risk you take when purchasing a second hand phone.
The phone may have already been the subject of an insurance claim and will now be the property of the insurance company.
Phones don't get blacklist for no reason and you could well have someone else's property in your hands.

Hi Ann,
Thanks for your reply. Just figured out with Vodafone agent that the Iphone has been blacklisted due to the third company that unlocked it. Apparently Vodafone never used the system but as it's a common system, if I pay for the official service with Vodafone, would it be possible to remove it from this list?
Thanks in advance

The blacklisting can only be removed by the person/company that asked for it in the first place.
It sounds as though someone (third company that unlocked it) has tried to jailbreak the phone to unlock it and stuffed it up, you will need to go back to that company and asked them to rectify the matter with Vodafone.
