Issue with iPhone 7 pre-order

Hi there,

I ordered 2 iPhone 7 plus' on Friday of last week - about 8:30am or so, just after pre-orders became available.
Vodafone representatives have told me on several occasions that my phones would be coming today, however now it is delivery day it looks like that won't be the case?

I spoke with at least 3 representatives (2 of which on live chat - so I have transcripts as evidence) that assured me the phones would be coming today.

However after calling this morning it appears this won't be happening, with another agent telling me it could be weeks until I get my hands on one.

Now I wouldn't care if I had been told this originally, but I was not, and in turn I've already sold my current phone which I've agreed to post today (when my new phone was due to come!).

I feel like I've just been lied to in order to prevent me from ordering elsewhere or cancelling my order - and it's rather infuriating.

What are the possibilities of being able to pick up at least one of the phones from a store?
Has anyone else experienced service like this before?

I phoned them today as i got a text saying mines is being delivered once the phones come into stock. They also told me mines would be delivered today. I called them and the girl explained they get their first shipping of the phones today and they will let me know when it will be delivered. 

 

explaining to her that I was told friday, why would you lie to people? and she told me that it says i am due a delivery between 8am and 6pm today. So this will be twice they have lied to me if it doesn't arrive today. 

 

Complete BS from their sales team. they don't like if you miss a bill payment they're on you like the mafia.

They won't come today, I guarantee it.
On the Facebook page there are plenty of people who have the same issue as us.
I don't understand how they can promise it will come, then give the most open answers around 'it should come today, but maybe next week, and maybe in a few weeks'

Looks like I'm going to be without a phone until it eventually turns up, unless I can find a similar deal elsewhere and go for that. But I can also be sure that we won't see any compensation.

I have had the same problem, I also ordered last Friday at around 8.40 am.
I haven't received my phone today after being told when I ordered and told this morning when I called, that my phone would be coming today.
I called back this afternoon after my mother in law received her's even tho I know (as she confirmed) that she pre ordered hers after me. It stated in a email I received that they issue the iPhones on a first come, first serve basic which is obviously not the case.
I feel lied to and they cannot justify it.
I had a customer service adviser put the phone down on me earlier today when I asked to speak to a supervisor.
Surly Vodafone should have been better prepared for this it is the same every time apple release a new phone but there system doesn't work at all and they have left loyal customers who pay a lot of money to them every month unhappy and without the phones that they made the extra effort to ensure they got.
