K3570-Z - Using abroad with a VF foreign sim

Is it possible to use the K3570-Z Data stick, abroad.

I have purchased a Vodafone P (Portugal) data-simcard and yet the device is flasing red and not finding any networks to connect to.

If i use the same stick with my UK Data-sim then it finds Vodafone P and offers to connect.   It is almost like the data-stick is locked to vodafone UK.

You will need to unlock the device to use another networks SIM in the modem. It will be easy enough to do and you will be able to find all the information on how to get the code from About the Community and Latest Vodafone News, Frequently Asked Questions, General, Unlock Codes section of the forum.

But this is a data-stick not a phone?  How would i enter an unlock code?

Hi hybrid2005,

When it comes to unlocking a datacard or modem you are unable to physically input an unlock code however, when you request the unlock code from us we will also send you the unlocking tool to allow you to input the unlock code for you modem.

To get your modem unlocked, you simply need to request this to be done via our online form.
