Hi xolaniss,
Can you explain for me what makes you think this is due to an IP conflict?
Also, what error messages are you seeing when you're unable to connect? This will help us to properly diagnose the issue for you and come up with a fix

I don't think so...
it's not windows fault. my windows is no problems.
If I set manual dial connection, it's work normal. but if i used vcm, it's so difficult to connect to the internet.
If using vcm (program from vodafon), i try to connect and the signal showing it's connecting, but we still DO NOT CONNECT TO INTERNET!!
Good modem but suck software...
I guess, the problem is come from the vcm do not sinkron with control panel setting...
Please correct this issue...
I done please email my in ddeeen@gmail.com

Hmmm, this thread is 3 years old... are you the original poster?
If you're not, do you actually ahve an IP conflict issue or are you just having problems connecting.
If you do have an IP conflict issue read this bit:
The IP address that you get assigned via a mobile data connection comes from the GGSN and is dynamically assigned from a range that belongs to the Vodafone UK network. So in theory it shoudln't make any difference if you click connect in dial up networking or Vodafone Mobile Connect/Broadband, you'll get assigned an IP address from the mobile network's range using either method.
Do you have any static addresses cnfigured within Windows networking or Vodafone Mobile Broadband/Mobile connect.
If you could connect to the internet (not through the dongle) then open your command prompt and type ipconfig/all and paste the results into this thread it would give us an idea of the ip configuration of your computer.
If you then disconnect from the internet, cnnect via the dongle and do the ipcnfig/all again then we coudl compare the 2 and look for potential problems.
Also:
- Is this a personal system or one that you use for work (i.e. on an office network)
- Are you conencted to anything else when you connect using the dongle connection
Bear in mind that if this was a problem with the Vodafone network then these forums would be awash with sinmilar posts. You appear to e the only person posting with issues of this nature, so it's a bit rash to state that it's a Vodafone issue. We'll be happy to help as best we can, but we need more infrmation to work out the problem and therefore solve it.
If you're not having an IP conflict issue:
I'm afraid you need to give us more infrmation for us to be able to help:
- What Dongle do you have?
- What version of VMC/VMB do you have?
- What version of Windows do you have?
- Are you using Vodafone UK or a different Vodafone network?
- When you try and connect do you get any errors? If not what happens?
- Has this set up ever worked?
- Do you ever connect to another network? If so what?
If you could let us knw we'll see what we can do to help.
Cheers
HC
