K4505 (Windows 7 32-bit) "Connect Button is Grey Out".

Hi,

I am trying to get a 3G connection on my DELL 6320, which has W7/32bit.

I have installed the 10.3.210 version of the software.

When I go to open the software with the Dongle in the USB port I am unable to select the Connect button as it is greyed out.

I have tested the SIM in a phone and I am able to send/recieve texts etc... so it has Data.

I have installed the software on another Laptop and nothing happens... not a Laptop issue.

The K4505 is enabled in Devices within the software and it states that the Device is detected, but still unable to select the "Connect" button.

Does anyone have any ideas at all?

Thanks for suppplying this information, it looks like you've tried most things that we would recommend. 

Could you please try the following;

Create a DUN (Dial up Network) connection

•Start – Control Panel

•Click the ‘Modems’ tab

•Highlight the Huawei Modem

•Click Properties – Change settings – Advanced

•Type in the following: at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”internet”

•Control Panel

•Network and Sharing Centre

•Create a new DUN connection:

•Phone number:*99#

•Username & Password: web

•Connection name: vodafone

Please let me know how you get on.
