Lolipop Update Banner Notifcations

Hi all,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which I have been very fond of, up until the start of this week when I downloaded the Lolipop update to my phone.

Now no matter what I am doing I get hugely invasive pop-up notifcations. I can be watching a YouTube video on full screen when suddenly a huge Snapchat or Facebook Messenger bannre will appear on my screen saying exactly who has sent me a message.

Not to mention a privacy issue - the whole thing is just hugely invasive and frustrating. I've tried searching online and there appears to be no way to disable these banner notifications.

Can anyone shed any light in to this?

Failing that, is there any way that I can downgrade my firmware to the last update?

Hi, have you had a look in settings, sound and notifications, then there are sections for flash notifications, app notifications and when device is locked. There ate settings within these sub settings that may help you.
