S4 Sim Error AGAIN

MAJOR RANT

On the 15th April my S4 suddenly started displaying that there was no SIM present and I needed to add the SIM and restart the phone. After several attempts I rang 191 and after the usual long wait finally got through. I was told to try my sim in another phone, which I did and it worked OK, so I was advised to take my phone into a Vodafone store so it could be sent for repair. I visited the store on the 17th April and after finally getting served (Why it takes three members of staff to serve one customer is beyond me), I was given a repair booking record. I was also promised regular text updates on the status of my phone, but I only ever got one. I even checked the tracking website, which was updated to begin with, but this stopped on the 24th April after the update that stated the device had been despatched by the repair centre. Then on 30th April I got fed up with waiting and spoke to Vodafone via the 'chat' facility online and found out that my phone had been back at the store since the 26th April. Yet the repair tracking website to this day still shows it as only as despatched back to the shop.

I visited the store on the 1st May and picked up my phone, but the girl serving me could not tell me why the website was not updated or why I had not received a text.

I returned home happy as I now had my phone back.......

The phone spent the rest of the day updating etc, but that evening I finally had a working phone. However the next morning I got up, picked up my phone and 'NO SIM' is displayed again.

Just got of the phone to 191 and I've got to send it away again......

This is a joke, every time I visit the vodafone store I have to drive into the city and pay to park, I have a phone I cannot use and I am also paying line rental and the only way to contact Vodafone is via 191.

Is there an email address I can write to to complain ?

IF ANYONE READING THIS IS THINKING OF UPGRADING OR TAKING OUT A VODAFONE CONTRACT THINK AGAIN. THEY PROVIDE REALLY POOR SERVICE, BOTH ON 191, IN STORE AND VIA THEIR REPAIR TRACKER.

WE HAVE 4 VODAFONE CONTRACTS IN OUR HOME AND ALL WILL BE SWITHCHED UPON CONTRACT EXPIRY.

SORRY FOR THE RANT, I JUST HATE BEING FOBBED OFF BY A REALLY REALLY POOR SERVICE...

Rob

I'd recommend taking it to a Samsung repair centre rather than Vodafone. You'll may get a faster analysis of the problem.

I just want to say that I wholeheartedly sympathise with your position and find the 191 Vodafone support services absolutley terrible. I too will be changing to a different network just as soon as both of our contracts finish. What I find particularly galling is the Vodafone shop is really not interested in problems, but just want to sell more phones.

Good luck!
