Looped opening of apps & web pages

My standard & up to date Smart Ultra 6 has developed strange behaviour, in that on occasions, when surfing, it will randomly and unasked, load web pages, history, most visited sites, Google voice search, keyboard, etc, etc., and keeps on cycling them in an unending loop.

I have used Chrome, Firefox Beta and Firefox and all will do this.

The phone seems to run pretty hot at time even though I have very few apps on it. Is this behaviour linked to overheating or is there more to it? (I have used a “cooling” app to close a number of apps running in background, but this makes no difference)

If your settings look OK then I'd first try a soft reboot by turning it off and on. 

Ensure your on the latest firmware update available by looking in the software section of the phone. 

If no help them create a back up to preserve the data in the phones storage memory and then perform a Factory reset. 

If no help then Vodafone apply a 24 month warranty on its phones, except the iPhone. You could arrange for it to be sent off by popping it into a Vodafone High street Store.

The advice given by BandOfBrothers is spot on. 

I would follow all the steps he has suggested. 

If you do not see any improvement please take the phone into your nearest Vodafone store for further inspection, and if necessary we can discuss a repair / further diagnostics test.
