Lost WiFi calling after 6.0 Update

Since updating my Galaxy S6 Edge to marshmallow I can no longer make wifi calls... The option in the menu to enable it isnt there anymore.

Is this something vodafone are aware of with the update?

Hi,

Ive not personally seen anything reported.

I would create a backup to preserve the data in the phones storage and then perform a factory reset after a firmware update to see if that helped.

If no joy I would suggest contacting Customer service on 191 and or Live chat to check your account.

I am having the same issue, I have tried texting to 97888 with CALLING, it says its on my account but the software doesn't seem to configure like it did when it was previously enabled.

This isn’t something we’ve been made aware of yet. I’ve fed this information back for you and we'll start an investigation to find the cause of the issue.

We'll be in touch with further advice as soon as we've completed our investigations.

Hi  I did a complete factory reset on my handset, both in Android and also via the recovery menu.  It hasn't returned sadly, I have messaged 97888 as well but still no luck.

Thanks

Ditto here: I don't really notice it that much since I have a sure signal at home (I mainly use the wifi calling for when I visit my parents and in-laws - lousy reception there!)

Spoke to 2 people after having called 191 - the first lady reset my wifi calling (I noticed that the option disappeared from my phone for about 10 minutes, then reappeared).  I turned off my sure signal at home (so that I had no reception), enabled wifi calling - nothing happened.

So after firing up the sure signal again, i called 191 and spoke to a chap who confirmed that this is a problem.  He said that the problem isn't Vodafone's side, but the OS side.  He said that something that has been updated with Marshmallow is incompatible with the wifi calling.  Whether that means that Vodafone have to update something, or whether they're leaving the onus with Android and Samsung I have no idea.  Either way, it means that we're stuffed for the time being with wifi calling and Androind 6

P.s.  At no point before I called 191 did I lose the option of 'wifi calling' within my phone settings as other people seem to have done.  It's just that the wifi calling never kicks in.

I'm in the same situation as you, sure signal is maintaining signal for me at home, having no Wi-Fi  calling means I can't make calls at my parents house.

It will get fixed eventually I'm sure, its a quirk especially when Call+ and Message+ remain in place.

Well that was bloody quick!

The new update has corrected the problem!

THANX 🙂

Confirmed!  You may have to wait an hour or so after the update for it to kick in (I had to wait that long anyhoo).  Disabled my sure signal to ensure no signal at home, enabled wifi calling - nothing.  An hour later, enabled wifi calling and the icon was back.  Made a call just to be sure and it's working fine.

Well done Vodafone!
