I am using a GPRS modem with a Vodafone PAYG Sim.
Due to some changes in Vodafones security, when I want to log into my account online, vodafone send a sms to my modem with a pass code.
Does anyone know how to read the pass code as it's sent as a hex code string, not in plain text.
At the moment I have to take the sim out, put it into a handset and then read the code out.

Hi
I believe that's the only current option to receive a text message.
I think one of the Tech Team will be along to advise and if this is so pass this feedback up the communications chain.

OK, but its impossible to do this as the unit will be in a remote site and there will be no one there to get the sim out etc.

As well as the two mobile numbers on my account, Vodafone also have my landline as an alternative contact method and I've had the security code sent to that - there's a drop-down of the available numbers for the code to be sent to. The point being that you can add a different contact number and have the text sent to that - talk to 191 or Live Chat to get it added (I don't suppose it has to be a landline).
