so where to start.
I pre-ordered a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on 14th August 2016, i was told this would be delivered on the 30th August 2016 as it was a pre order and elidgable for the 3 days early from samsung.
I booked the 30th off work to make sure i could sign for the phone but this order did not arrive on the 30th so i called up support to see where it was, i was then told that the order had not actually been placed and they would place it for delivery the following day (31st august 2016).
so i booked the 31st off work aswel (bearing in mind im self employeed and do not get paid when im off), no phone arrived again, so again i called support to be told that as the order was not placed before the 28th august then it was not elidgable for the 3 days early deal (even though i explained that i had ordered the device weeks ago and it was vodafones fault), i was then told that i would receive the device on the friday 2nd september 2016.
so again i booked the friday off work (now a total cost of missed work £390), and yet again no phone turned up, when i again called support they said it was because samsung had issued a recall, which they had only issued that morning and for vodafone to deliver the phone on friday surely it would have been sent on the wednesday as it takes DPD 2 days to deliver the device.
so i then got told it would take another month to get the phone, which as it was not vodafones fault for the recall i could do nothing about, so i said ok and hung up, i then received a text stating that my order had been cancelled.
i again called support to be told that it had not been cancelled and was going ahead as planned, i had them put a note on my account to ensure it wasnt cancelled and even phoned up every week and visited a store twice, on all occasions i was guaranteed that the order was still going ahead.
so happy that i would receive the phone once the recall was resolved i left it be, ive been tracking the status of the recall online and saw that samsung were again shipping phones as of last week, so i called support again on friday morning (30th september 2016) (1am as i had just finished work), thats when i got told my order had been cancelled a month ago....
the advisor apologised and asked me to call back after 8am so upgrades can reorder it, i called back at around 12:30pm after work, the upgrades advisor told me he couldnt honour the previously agreed upon contract as he could not authorise the discount, so i asked to be put through to loyalty who could authorise it, he said he would transfer me and instead hung up on me, this happened twice in a row, each time being on the phone for 30 minutes. by this stage i was ready to explode at who ever answered the next call.
i finally managed to get through to loyalty (after nearly 2 hours on the phone) once i did get through the assistant was very helpful and sorted everything out, she applied the discount to the order, had upgrades process the order and also had them text me when the order was complete.
i left this call satisfied that my phone would finally arrive, but low and behold when i called today (3 october 2016) to find out when my phone had not been delivered as promised, i was once again told that it had not been ordered!, i am now waiting on a phone call tomorrow at 11am to find out what the hell is going on with this phone.
can any one advise on what i can do here, the only reason i have not told vodafone where to shove it is because they have offered me a good deal for the phone contract, but im now at my wits end and would prefer to pay another provider £30 extra per month than deal with a phone company who can not even order a phone.
is it so hard to order a phone and deliver it when you promise to, its now been 49 days since my order and i still have no phone, and on top of that they have changed my current price plan and started to charge me for the new phone that they have never ordered.
hopefully someone can advise me on what i can do here and if i am entitled to any form of compensation for the endless hours and stress spent trying to talk to vodafone.
Thanks
Adam

Hi @AdamStarr
I think you've been really patient.
If this was my situation I'd try ringing Vodafone on their new dedicated number for issues like yiu are experiencing.

ive called them several times with complaints, if they still have nothing by tomorrow im going to tell them where to go and go to a company who have some form of customer service, i even have it in writing that my order has been accepted (3 seperate times) think ill give that complaints line a call tomorrow though, i think after all what they have put me through i deserve some decent compensation, not to mention the fact they have tried to charge me last month and this month for a phone they havnt sent me, bill for last month should have been £18.85, they tried to charge £98.85, bill for this month should be £22.20, currently trying to charge £52.20, they have 1 more chance and then im done

Good luck Adam.
I am getting the runaround trying to exchange my Galaxy Note 7 that is on a recall due to battery issues.
I've been trying for over three weeks and after all this time no one can tell me what is going on so I have cancelled my direct debit and am in the process of cancelling the contract due to Vodafone charging me for a phone that is not fit for purpose.

Hi Viki,
Im now experiencing even more issues, the advisor who was trying to sort out my order yesterday has somehow messed up the price plan i am currently on (the one i am trying to upgrade) so now not only do i not have a new phone ordered but i am also on the wrong price plan on the phone i already have (i should have 22gb data, unl texts and mins for £22.20, instead im now on 2gb data, unl mins and texts for £30), i have contacted support about this issue also and they again were useless and did nothing
Im just going to carry on using it as normal and vodafone can sort out the mess they have created.
but as for your question, yes i am still having issues and i have ordered the phone 3 more times yesterday, none of which were ordered.
apparently there is an issue on my account, when i upgraded my price plan to sim only (in may i think) the system is still showing it as an open order and this needs to be completed before i can upgrade, but i wasnt told when they would fix this.
Regards
Adam
