I have a 695 phone pay as you go but the same message sent to me months ago keeps coming thro when I power up.I delete this message time and time again but it comes thro, Can you help me prevent this

We are fellow customers here with no access to Vodafones systems. 

May i ask exactly what is the message your recieving saying ?

Hi its just a std message from a friend re a night out its not an error message etc

This maybe a fault with your friends phone / SIM card. 

Ask them if they've deleted the text message and if not request they do to see if it then stops.

Have you saved the message to the SIM card?

You may need to go into your SIM messages and delete the message from there.  You can find how to do this on the link below.
