Mobile Broadband Contract Enquiry

Hi,

I currently have a 12 month contract for 3GB Mobile Broadband with the "Pro" dongle (the black one that can connect at 7.2mbps instead of 3.6) and am paying £15 a month.

The contract expires in August, and I no longer wish to continue with it. However, I would like to change to a PAYG tariff, with the same speed.

How do I go around doing this, if it is at all possible?

Thanks
Ryan
Thanks,
Ryan

My current contract phone is a RIM BlackBerry Storm2 9520.

I own or have owned the following:

Sony Ericsson W715 (replacement for 2 faulty Nokia N97s), Nokia N97 (had 2, both broke - good riddance!), Nokia N95 8GB (condemned - water damage - now binned and sorely missed) , Sony Ericsson W910i (had 2, both broke, had N95 8gb as a replacement), Sony Ericsson W900i (mostly trouble free, needed firmware updates a few times), Sony Ericsson V600i (PAYT - trouble free, still works fine today!)

Hi Ryan Walker

Your speeds are determined by the modem capacity and the signal your connected to, and both contract and PAYG use the same service, so your speeds will not be affected.

The only changed that will need to be made is with your VMC settings. It will need to be configured to use PAYG in place of your former contract settings.

All you then need to do this is obtain a Vodafone PAYG data SIM, to use when you have disconnected the contract. Please ensure that you notify that you wish to terminate your account and give the required 30 days notice.

Hope this helps clarify matters for you.

Hi Trev,

Thanks for your reply.

I've tried twice to email Vodafone Customer Support but I get an error each time.

I've tried using different web browsers (Safari 5 and Firefox 3.6.3) but to no avail.

Can a member of the eForum Team contact me so I can start the ball rolling to cancel my contract and switch to PAYG Mobile Broadband.

Thanks
Ryan
