Mobile Broadband Contract - Not Uk Citizen

Not applicable
I am an Italian student, and I have moved into UK two weeks ago. I have rented a house in UK and I expect to live there for about an year. I would like to get a Vodafone Mobile Broadband USB stick with a monthly contract: what are exactly the requirements for this?

Hi Oppilif86,

A warm welcome to the eForum! :D

When a new contract is taken out, a credit check is performed and I’m sure that one of the factors is the amount of time you’ve lived in the UK. As this has only been a couple of weeks I’m not sure how this would affect a contract application.

If you do have any difficulties due to this then you may find the Top Up And Go modems really useful! Take a look for more information! :)

If you’re going to be making calls back home, take a look at the Vodafone international calling information on our website. We’ve got some great Pay As You Go plans with cheap international calls! :D

All the best,

Well, as far as i'm aware, as a foreign student you wouldnt be able to get a standard contract - But - If you were willing to put a £100 deposit, I think the stores/telesales would be able to give you a contract. You get the deposit back after 6 months..

Otherwise, Id get the top up and go modem - £15 per gig - but you can buy them in Tescos...
