Mobile Broadband - Coverage getting mixed replies

I have spoken to Vodafone business CS about coverage improvements in a couple of areas and each time I have been told something different. Now this would not matter so much apart from I recently took out mobile BB and a laptop which I am very happy with when I use Sure Signal. I have spoken to a very helpful person today who has unexpectedly offered to cancel my BB account as I do not have 3G coverage even though I have had the laptop a month now. I would rather keep the laptop and live in hope that coverage be it 3G or EDGE will arrive soon. So will one of the mods please check if there is any chance of network improvements in these two areas. CB90lh and CB114LB. It does not have to be 3G even EDGE will be better then basic 2G.

Hi there weatherman478,

Thanks for supplying the offending postcodes. Did you know you can check for coverage enhancements for yourself on our online coverage map? Check it out for yourself ;)

In the meantime, I've checked each postode for you and the first one CB9 0LH hasn't got any enhancement scheduled for the foreseeable future.

CB11 4LB is much the same if I'm being honest. However, if youi wish, there's a feedback button in the above link where you can submit a request for coverage enhancement.

Over the weekend, why not check out some of the fabulous prizes up for grabs with from Vodafone VIP!? We have some amazing prizes on offer, including £1000 to spend at Warehouse, Ultimate Festival Experiences and visits the McLaren Technology Centre. There are also some brilliant discounts available, it’s definitely worth a look! You can find out more here - vodafone.co.uk/vip”

Cheers,

Thanks for the quick reply. So what factors help Vodafone decide where to put masts ? I live in a normal residential area which other networks manage to provide 3G coverage. Surely its in Vodafones favor to improve coverage rather then lose quite a few customers to other networks. 2G coverage is much the same between networks these days. Customers want high speed data and its that coverage which can win/lose a network customers.
