Mobile Broadband - Coverage has been declining

Hi

I use a Vodafone 3G card with my laptop at my home. It has worked well with my laptop on a desk in an upstairs room for about a year now. Over the last few months though, the reception has slowly gotten worse to the point were now the only way I can get a signal is to balance the laptop on a stack of books in front of the window.

Has something changed / been downgraded with the service in my area?

My postcode is L24 4AW.

I'm sorry to read that you've had to resort to such lengths to get a decent signal at home

I've had a look at the serving site for the postcode you've supplied and can confirm the site that serves the area is situated over in Speke at the Jaguar car factory. Now the site has been handling calls perfectly in the last hour, and I've checked data services too and there are no current 3g alarms for this site.

Can you try the card in another machine by any chance? If not, then do you have a mobile phone that you can pop the SIM into and attempt to browse a few web pages? This will refresh your connection on the network. Once completed, please try the SIM back in the card and let me know if anything improves.
